Bug bites – UGH! Does your pet complain about being bitten by bugs? Don’t you hate when it happens to you as well?
Let me tell you, there are different ways to protect us against the two things that bother us dogs the most…fleas and ticks.
They come in sprays, shampoos, collars, drops, tablets…the list goes on and on. What your pet needs to get for you depends on what works best for you.
Reilly here! Let me give you some advice; don’t let them get you something that will bother your stomach. Speaking from experience, there are some kinds of flea and tick protectants that you actually CAN be allergic to! It’s not a fun time! Throwing up all the time and then having to watch your pet throw up too!
My pets don’t throw up when I do!
They don’t, Chip? Guess it must just be mine.
And you made fun of me for having a “sensitive stomach”! Ha, you can’t even handle a simple pill!!!
Oh shush Chip! It’s not like it’s all food; it was just one ingredient in a flea and tick pill. I have a new way of getting my protection now, and it doesn’t make me sick!
Like I was trying to say, if you like to go for swims in the water, then a collar or drops on the back of the neck won’t be the best thing for you. You might want to recommend to your pet to get you a pill that will work the whole month through.
But if you’re like me and only get a bath or go for a dip in the water every once and a while..
Because you’re a chicken!
You forget how much bigger I am than you, Chip!
Anyway, if you are only in the water once in a while then a shampoo, collar or some special drops on the back of the neck are okay to use.
But what happens if someone else brings in the fleas to your house? Well, first that would be rude to even do that but some dogs just don’t care whose house they destroy! Did you know that they make products to help rid the fleas from your house?
These can be in the form of a whole house spray or a flea bomb. Either way, you shouldn’t be in the area when these toxic fumes are around. Actually, come to think of it, neither should your pets! Who would feed you if something were to happen to them? Oh no, make sure they don’t go near that area either!
